THE MET GOLFER MAGAZINE AND THE REEF BY CUISINART HOST A CARIBBEAN CULINARY EXPERIENCE FOR CONNOISSEURS OF FINE CUISINE AND EXQUISITE WINE

An Unforgettable Weekend at one of the World’s Most Desirable Island Destinations

Huntingdon Valley, Pa. (March 2019) — For the fifth time, The Met Golfer, the official publication of the Metropolitan Golf Association, is partnering with the Resort & Residents by CuisinArt and Marchesi Antinori Wines to create Epicurea, a unique culinary getaway in the Caribbean. The 5th Annual Epicurea planned in 2017 was cancelled due to severe hurricane Irma damage, came back strong in 2018 and looks forward to another successful culinary adventure in December 2019.

With a fantastic track-record of bringing together couples and small groups for exceptional cuisine, exquisite wines and enjoyable golf, Epicurea 2019 promises to be a great culinary weekend for it's attendees.

Having traveled the world, the Epicurea Event is truly one of a lifetime - a GREAT value for the

experience! The island of Anguilla is absolutely magical, possessing a unique, special charm,

exclusive to itself - the views of St. Maarten, truly spectacular, enhanced by a breathtaking

ocean, every shade of blue imaginable! Likewise the weather - every day, warm & sunny, the Oceanside breezes lending itself to sheer bliss, no matter the activity! —Marlene C. (South Carolina)

The Epicurea package provides cooking class opportunities for its guests to interact with the celebrated chefs selected to cook in this program. The Reef by CuisinArt, the newest luxury destination in the Caribbean, provides the perfect location to host Epicurea.  The sleek design and luxurious touches of the resort overlook the beautiful Merrywing Bay and the Anguillian Channel providing a sublime scene of the Caribbean and one of Anguilla’s most breathtaking white sand beaches.

The Epicurea event is such a wonderful combination of great food, wine, golf and beautiful beach...how can you go wrong! This event surpassed our expectations, as the food was truly superb, we got to meet and mingle with the chefs, and the rep from Marchesi Antinori Wines,. The friendliness of the staff at The Reef, combined with the terrific staff from Met Golfer Magazine, made this a most memorable vacation.

“Since its inception, CuisinArt Resort has been committed to the culinary arts. We built one of the world’s first resort-based hydroponic farms on Anguilla as a true testament to our dedication,” says according to Stephane Zaharia, Vice President and General Manager of the Cuisinart Resort.  The resort now boasts two splendidly unique luxury hotels at the Resorts & Residences by CuisinArt – The CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa and the newest luxury resort in the Caribbean, The Reef by CuisinArt. “As we have evolved, a myriad of epicurean options, including cooking classes and an extensive wine cellar, have been offered. All the while our efforts remain focused on being a destination worthy of the world’s top gourmands. This sensational annual event, in partnership with The Met Golfer, is an important step along that journey.”

Acclaimed Chefs in Attendance

A Weekend of Decadence

The Epicurea weekend offers attendees the chance to indulge in the sensual flavors of well-crafted wines during orchestrated sampling and pairing sessions with CuisinArt’s resident sommelier. For those who are attracted by an exceptional Caribbean golf experience, the Greg Norman-designed Championship Course is on property at the resort. The course, which opened in 2006, offers breathtaking views of the island and sea, dramatic elevation changes, spectacular water features and challenging holes. Epicurea includes two rounds of golf with each reservation for two that may be used by an individual, for a small group golf experience or for the 5th Annual Epicurea group golf outing.

The Reef by CuisinArt resort also offers tennis, sailing, snorkeling, garden tours, kayaking and more. For those seeking indoor rejuvenation, the award-winning Venus Spa is available to indulge in a variety of massages, facials or specialty escapes to clear the mind and relax the soul.

“We are truly excited that the event will be held in concert with hand-selected chefs and outstanding partners at a distinguished golf resort, so that we may continue to offer an exceptional experience for the cuisine-focused travelers among our readership,” says Rick Summers, CEO of The Met Golfer.

Epicurea includes a couple’s package with four nights of accommodations at The Reef by CuisinArt, a full breakfast each morning, four chef-prepared dining experiences with select paired wines at each meal, two rounds of golf per person at The CuisinArt Golf Club’s Greg Norman signature course, and a cooking class experience with one of our celebrated chefs.

"This was honestly the best couples trip we have ever been on. The entire itinerary was perfect, with superb food, events, entertainment, venue and staff. We never felt rushed, or bored. Anguilla is the perfect get away and Cuisinart the perfect resort. We also felt we got a very fair deal for such a high-end resort, and inclusive golf and events. We are already booking next years’ trip and will add three extra days this time so we can explore even more around the island," said guests from the Cliff’s Communities in South Carolina.

Optional activities priced per service include exquisite wine pairing and tasting classes, enjoyable golf and tennis lessons, exceptional spa treatments, and upgraded or extended stay accommodations. Local residents may also make reservations to join us for our celebrity chef dining events by contacting CuisinArt Resort directly at 264-498-2000.
